My research, writing and documentary work focuses on food systems, environmental justice, ecology, and culture.
My work has been published or aired by BBC Future Planet, BBC Radio 4: Shortcuts, Grist, BirdNote, Modern Farmer, CBC Arts, CBC Radio, CBC Podcasts, among others.
Previously, I was as an environmental researcher in Latin America. I investigated and wrote about the effects of climate change on Bolivian quinoa production, food sovereignty, agroecology, ecofemism, Indigenous worldviews, the rights of nature in Ecuador and Bolivia's constitutions, and other environmental and Indigenous movements in the Andean region.
I’m a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at Maine College of Art & Design, Humber College’s Graduate Journalism Program and the University of Toronto.
